Howdy Folks........I haven't blogged in a long time, so I thought I'd run a test out here and see how it plays out...... Elections are coming up soon and I hope the right guy gets in or science as we know it is out the door, and thats just one thing, there's a million other bad things that can happen! Just a note on jobs and job creators, first off it is already proven that giving somebody who is already rich a better tax rate than someone like me will not produce more jobs..... But better than that lets use a real life analogy....... Say you own a medium size grocery store and on a Thursday night you need to have 7 out of 12 registers open to run your business at a successful level. Do you really think a better tax break for this business owner is going to have him open an extra register? Of course not, and in fact if he did things like this, he would probably go out of business soon! Secondly, any of you who know me, know I am a hard working person and always have been, well my taxes that I pay are in the 33 percent range which most middle class people pay. So let's say for the sake of round numbers, I make $100,000 a year and I pay $33,000 in taxes and take home $67,000, and a guy that makes $1,000,000 a year pays 18 percent taxes, so het gets to keep $820,000 a year and pays $180,000. His logic is that he still pays way more than me, and if you let him pay this lessor amount he will make me a job. This is bullshit and everyone, including those of you who disagree with me know it.... Now if this guy that makes $1,000,000 pays the same rate as me, he will still take home $660,000, a very comfortable living yet, meanwhile I still have to figure out how to pay for my daughter's college and eat at the same time..... Not a problem for the other guy! I am not against anybody being rich, I'd like to be rich myself. I just think that we should all be on a level playing field and stop trying to bullshit me about how having the rich folks dropping crumbs down to me will somehow make the world better.............
